Nobody can forget the horrifying rape and murder of Dr Disha in Hyderabad that happened recently. The nation prayed for swift justice to prevail, and this morning, we woke up to the news of the 4 accused being killed by the cops in an encounter.
While majorly, every person hailed this move by the cops, former Bigg Boss contestant and political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla had a different opinion as he tweeted, "MPs inside Parliament demand Lynching of the accused. Cops carry out an #Encounter, instead of the govt fixing the system to ensure proper investigation, fool proof case & swift trial! The system is broken & we are demolishing it. We are FAST descending into a lawless state!"
And then, in another tweet he wrote, "Two wrongs do not make a Right ! We are rapidly descending into an anarchy and NO RULE of LAW! The government can't indulge in encounters this way. Will Asaram or a high profile Sengar or a Chinmyanand also meet with the same fate ? Or are encounters meant for the poor?"
His “lawless” comment hasn’t gone down well with several netizens. While people are lauding the bravery of the cops, I strongly feel that a statement like this coming from Tehseen certainly does not augur well. In an EXCLUSIVE with SpotboyE.com, former Bigg Boss 13 contestant and TV star Dalljiet Kaur also condemned Tehseen's POV.
An enraged and furious Dalljiet told SpotboyE.com, “I want to ask Tehseen if any from those 4 would have managed to escape, would it have been a better deal? The cops did a good job by killing those 4 rapists.
Can you imagine how dangerous it would be if anyone of them would have escaped? If they were running away and the cops did an encounter, how can it be termed as lawlessness?
So Tehseen, do you mean to say that they should have been allowed to escape? Should we have done an experiment and waited to see what they do next?
I really think it is a rubbish statement made by Tehseen. I salute the police and I'm very proud that the lawmakers are now finally able to take a decision when it comes to things like these.”
In the same vein, Dalljiet adds, this time her voice rising in anger, “I totally condemn Poonawalla and I'm extremely sad that a matured guy like him has managed to even put a rubbish statement like that. These men deserved nothing more than this, I’m very happy that they have not seen another day of life because they did not deserve it for the horrid crime that they have done.”
