On March 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the lockdown of 21 days. While addressing the nation, the PM clearly stated that the lockdown is as good as the curfew and people shall avoid venturing out unnecessary. Amid the lockdown, Prime Minister promised its citizens to not panic as all the necessary shops will remain open. Ever since the announcement was made, Police were deployed at different points in the different parts of India so that they can stop people from going out.
While we come across multiple videos of Police asking people to go back home, TV heartthrob Parth Samthaan shared a funny video of Police welcoming them with aarti ki thali. Captioning it ‘epic’ the Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 actor shared the hilarious clip on his Instagram account. Commenting on his video, a user wrote, “it's really good idea to teach lesson. Salute to Indian police” While another said, “Hilarious… Police got no chill”
A few days back, Parth’s co-star Hina Khan had shared a video of Police brutality with vendors. The clip saw Police throwing the vegetables from their cart and also beating the vendors with lathis. Sharing the video on social media, Hina Khan had requested Mumbai Police to look into the matter.
As the city and its people are struggling to combat this deadly virus, people have been asked to stay at home and maintain safe distance which will prevent the multiplication of this virus among others.
