While there were reports of actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia who plays Meher in the TV show Choti Sarrdaarni, making an exit from the show, there is no truth to it. The actress is very much part of the show, but was on a break due to health reasons. Now that the actress is recuperated, she is all set to reunite with her team but virtually. As per reports in Times Of India, the actress will be resuming the shoot soon, meanwhile she will be shooting from home. The actress is currently in Delhi from where she will be shooting for her parts.
Also the makers are hoping to see her back on sets soon. The publication’s source informs, “Nimrit had to take a break from Choti Sarrdaarni because of her health woes. She is doing better now and is gearing up to return to the show. She is currently in Delhi and will shoot her scenes from home for now. She will report to the set once she has fully recovered and is back in Mumbai.” In her absence makers got actress Kratika Sengar in a special role to take the story ahead.
The actress also confirmed not replacing Nimrit on the show. Kratika in talks with BT had said, “I am not replacing Nimrit, but playing a new character. I wouldn’t have taken up the offer had they approached me to replace the original protagonist. She has played the character so beautifully that I wouldn’t want to step into her shoes.”
