The glamour and entertainment industry is all about being fit where every other actor promotes living a healthy life. Body shaming is something that is very common in our industry these days. When people call you chubby is surely not a good feeling at all. But this is not the case with Choti Sarrdaarni actress Geetika Mehandru.
Mehandru, who is known for her cuteness and chubby look, believes that, “Being chubby doesn’t mean fat, and I believe I’m chubby, not fat. So till the time I’m comfortable with my skin, I feel good. Moreover, in in today’s world, plus-size models have more demand than slim ones and I feel very proud that I also belong in that category." She adds, "I love portraying different characters. My journey has always been like that. I portrayed the character of a fat girl in Kabir Singh and Choti Sarrdaarni. I portrayed the character of a chubby girl in Jaat Na Pucho Prem Ki, Shrikant Bashir and Satellite Shankar. I believe till the time I can carry myself with confidence, the shape of my body doesn’t matter. I want people to focus on my acting skills more than my body type because this will change as per the character requirement.”
