Just like everyone expected, Bigg Boss OTT’s grand premiere was bang on as it was packed with some sizzling performances and the introduction of an enthusiastic bunch of stars, all set to be locked in the house. One of the contestants Pratik Sehajpal started off on a bad note, especially with female contestants. Brand new host Karan Johar announced the housemates have to choose one person, who they prefer as their connection in the house. But Pratik’s arrogant streak proved to be a major turn off for his fellow contestant. Except Bhojpuri star Akshara Singh.
The Bhojpuri star zeroed down on Pratik because she likes 'akdu men' (arrogant men). The actress picked Pratik, after he and Karan Nath were asked to match up with their dance steps. Akshara set the dance floor on fire as she performed on Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag. Later she chose Pratik as he performed well. Right on the opening night, the fitness trainer locked horns with Shamita Shetty, Neha Bhasin and Urfi Javed. He clarified he is not a people pleaser and won’t follow any, further urging Akshara that she should not follow him. “Mein please kisi ko nahi karta, mein follow nahi karta...aap mujhe mat follow karna house mein,” said Pratik.
Explaining connection means bearing the equal load, he believes he is a leader himself, he said, “Connection mein equal responsibility hoti hai. Mein apne mein hi leader hun.”
This was followed by Akshara explaining to her female contestants that she chose Pratik as she likes ‘Akdu Men’. Responding to this revelation of the Bhojpuri star, singer Neha Bhasin went on to tell Akshara only she can handle him.
