Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss is one of the most coveted shows on Indian television. While the 16th season of the show recently concluded, ex-contestants have slowly been opening up about their experiences on the show, most of which revolves around how the show ruined their mental peace. Renowned television actors Apurva Agnihotri-Shilpa Agnihotri have opened up about their journey on the show, they had participated in the 7th season which was won by Gauahar Khan, in their vlog.
The couple, who recently embraced parenthood, run their YouTube Channel ‘Awesome Agnihotris’ where they are often seen talking about their day-to-day life experiences. In a video titled ‘Bigg Boss ka sach,’ they spoke about how the show is toxic and their journey wasn’t as wholesome as they thought it would be. They revealed that they had been offered the show many times, however, only accepted it when they were offered to do the show as a couple. Apurva revealed that he was not that excited to be a part of their show as even though it can bring them fame, money and recognition, it is also very easy to lose the audiences’ respect. Shilpa went on to explain how they had heard before from former Bigg Boss contestants that the show was toxic and how they had to go to therapy. They went on to add that while they didn’t enjoy their journey, as their personalities weren’t suitable for the show, they were glad that they participated in the show together.
On the personal front, after tying the knot in 2004, the couple embraced parenthood for the first time and welcomed their daughter Ishaani Kanu Agnihotri in December 2022.
