Mental health has become a serious issue especially in these dark times when the Coronavirus is hovering over us. Just a couple of weeks ago, Kendall Jenner brought to everyone’s notice about the mental health issue, this time Bigg Boss 13’s former contestant Juhi Parmar and Karan Kundrra spoke about the internal mental battle, which in times like these is definitely a tough place to be in. With the current rise in unfortunate situations like suicides within the industry itself, Juhi questions why only physical health and wellbeing is considered important when mental health is what should be ideally prioritised in equality to being physically fit.
Juhi shared an IGTV video which emphasizes on the fact that what matters the most right now is to be a listening ear for anyone who wants to speak about what's on their mind, as there could be no greater gift than being a good listener for those who need one. She backed the video with a powerful message which read, “Happy, Sad, Angry, Frustrated....so many emotions which we go through as humans! But yes the battle, and the internal battle especially is not easy. With some unfortunate incidents of suicides in our industry due to the current situation, we all are left to question that while physical well being is important so is #MentalHealth. Here I am speaking about my thoughts and I would say if there's one thing that matters most is, speak it out and for all of us who can give a listening ear, that in itself is a huge gift! #WeMustFightThis.”
On the other hand, Karan shared a collage of himself, showcasing two different moods. The picture tells us that don’t assume just by the look of the face as ‘Mental Illness can be Invisible!’ he captioned the picture as, “One can feel anxious, depressed, suicidal and still turn up for work everyday looking confident wearing a smile and appearing fine! Plz check on people around you.. don’t assume you know how they feel based on how they look!! #mentalhealth”
