Rhea Chakraborty has been in the news since the untimely demise of her boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She was also rumoured to be participating in Bigg Boss 15. The buzz around her appearance on Salman Khan’s popular reality show gained momentum after Rhea, on Monday, was spotted at the same studio as BB15’s confirmed contestant Tejasswi Prakash and Bigg Boss 13’s Dalljiet Kaur. However, there has been no update and confirmation regarding Rhea appearing on BB 15. Amidst this, it is now being reported that the actress has been offered a whopping amount of Rs 35 lakh per week for her stay.
Yes, you heard that right! As per a report in Bollywoodlife, the makers of Bigg Boss 15 have offered Rhea Rs 35 lakh per week for the show. And that’s indeed a huge amount. In fact, it is by far the highest amount to be offered to a celebrity this season. The report also stated that the makers are having meetings with Rhea Chakraborty and the final decision is likely to be out today.
The actress has joined the likes of Sidharth Shukla, Rimi Sen and Rashami Desai with this huge amount. Last year, the late Sidharth Shukla was reportedly paid close to Rs 35-40 lakh for a two-week stay inside the show. Rashami Desai was the highest-paid contestant of Bigg Boss 13 with Rs 21 lakh per week. Back then, Rimi Sen revealed that she got Rs 2.25 crores for appearing on Bigg Boss 9. Notably, a few weeks ago, it was reported that Salman Khan, who has been the host of the show for the past 11 seasons, would be paid a whopping amount of Rs 350 crore for hosting the show for 14 weeks. The superstar will be charging approximately Rs 25 crore per week.
Bigg Boss 15 is all set to have its grand premiere on October 2. While the list of confirmed contestants is out, a few surprising entries will be announced by Salman Khan this weekend.
