I don't know why but the more I see and hear this year's Bigg Boss 13, I feel it's scripted. Come on, reality shows can be scripted. Real ka tag lagane se, kya sabkuch real ho jata hai? So where's the proof that this one is not? Or rather, every Bigg Boss (so far) has been.

I raise this point because the Sidharth Shukla episode of yesterday has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. A friend of mine says he was about to puke when Sidharth kept his leg on Shehnaaz Gill's stomach, which has become a talking point on the Internet today. SEE VIDEO BELOW.

Har ek cheez ki had hoti hai. Pyaar ki bhi aur nafrat ki bhi. Nautanki ki bhi. I hope my hunch that Bigg Boss is scripted is wrong. And, I don't know what Sidharth's supporters like Vindu Dara Singh (who's going inside for a while, after 3 days) and Kamya Punjabi who lead that brigade, are going to say about this act of his. Wonder why they're still quiet (has staying quiet when we need to speak up become a characteristic feature of ours?) or, is it that they will react after reading this piece?

Kai baar mujhe lagta hai that in our new but deeply entrenched 'chalta hai' attitude, we have completely forgotten our basic responsibilities. Like tell me, what signal is Colors and Endemol sending out with this ugly scene? That it's perfectly normal for a man to be cruel to a woman, physically? Surely, they know the number of young and impressionable minds who watch this show.

Okay, kuch der ke liye maan lete hain that the show is scripted. Doesn't the responsibility of the broadcaster and producer increase then all the more? Shouldn't some filter of decency be used? Or, what message are wending to our youth?

But, samjhaye kaun? Hum sab ek ego aur disdain ke nashe mein choor hain and we have become blind to reason.

If the show is not fake- and I hope it is not- Sidharth Shukla should be evicted soonest. And if it is fake, imagine the resources and money that is going in the name of making some money in return. I wouldn't be surprised if the advertisers on Bigg Boss themselves cringe IF they see the show. But you never know, we are living in time where 'The whole thing is that ki sabse bada rupaiya'.

Even the way Sidharth charged at Rashami Desai sometime back, was to say the least, gross.

The government must ban the show. I & B MInistry, are you listening?
