Like every year, I was excitedly glued to the TV screen to watch what Salman Khan and Colors TV are bringing in this Season in Bigg Boss. And also to know what new twist host Salman Khan will be adding to make it more entertaining, which he had been claiming throughout show’s promos and in almost all his interviews. Besides these curious questions, another thing which got me hooked was Salman constantly saying that the finale is in a month’s time, while the contestants had disclosed to us that they are locked for 105 days. What’s the mystery about, eh?

Looks like the makers played on these two versions to grab eyeballs. So, the show started with Salman being bombarded with such questions by his family and friends like Karan Johar, Arbaaz Khan, Jacqueline Fernandes and then graduated to the Bigg Boss 13 house, of which we exclusively gave you a tour of, a few days back. But of course, Salman dancing on Bharat’s Slow Motion inside the house, was something fans were dying to watch.

After the usual naach and gana, Salman started introducing the contestants, and the first one to arrive on the stage was Sidharth Shukla. You may recall, SpotboyE.com was the first one to tell you about him entering the show. Sidharth was introduced in the house as a Casanova and we felt that was a rather weird introduction, considering he is more of a controversial personality. Right from making headlines for his affairs to disputes and hurling abuses on his show, Dil Se Dil Tak’s sets and being slapped by his co-star, Toral Rasputra during the shoot of Balika Vadhu, Sidharth has also been involved in a case of drink and drive. Now, how does he pass for a Casanova, we wonder.

Next up was someone who seemed to be a fan of music composer, Anu Malik but no, he was his youngest brother Abu Malik. Though he seemed like a sweet gentleman, what we want to tell the Bigg Boss 13 casting team is that- it's Anu Malik who has a lot to disclose about his allegations and not Abu.

Then it was the turn of the real life Casanova, Paras Chhabra. Not many know him as an actor but may recognize him as the boyfriend of famous TV actresses like Sara Khan, Pavitra Punia and now Calendar Girl actress, Akanksha Puri. We were also introduced to a model, Asim Riaz and writer Siddharth Dey.

I was already half-asleep by this time but thought the female contestants would act as caffeine in my nerves and help me stay awake. The first one to be called on the stage was Mahira Sharma, who frankly I had to google about when I got to know she is one of the contestants, a few days back and I won’t be surprised if you guys also did the same, last night.

Mahira was introduced as someone dealing with anger issues and throws things around in a rage. We wonder how cool the channel and production team will be with that? Can they afford damaged properties? And then walked in Gopi Bahu aka Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who has come with an intention to change her image from bahu to babe. However, her mother is hoping her daughter to come out with a partner.

Next up was Rashami Desai, who cleared the rumour of not getting married to beau Arhaan Khan inside the house. Salman tried to add a bit of humour by asking the actress if her beau Arhaan is his nephew, Arhaan (Arbaaz Khan's 16-year-old son). He also said his nephew Arhaan doesn’t wish to get married so soon, just like his chachu, Salman.

Other female contestants, about whom we had already informed you were Dalljiet Kaur, news anchor, Shefali Bagga, who is also a Punjabi singer and looked more interested in meeting Salman than being a contestant on the show. After a long time, we saw O Saki Saki girl, Koena Mitra on stage and we were waiting to see her move on her claim to fame number, but guess she has had an overdose of it too. Koena was unrecognizable and the only reason I may switch on the TV to see the next episode is to know what went wrong with the sexy actress.

The only moment which made me genuinely laugh was when Krushna Abhishek entered to drop his darling sister, Arti Singh and had a hilarious conversation. I so wish the makers sent him inside the house.

In the hindsight, another funny angle was introducing Ameesha Patel as the maalkin of the house, which also SpotboyE.com told you, last week. We just couldn’t understand the idea of the actress disclosing raaz of contestants she barely knows. It was a total flop for me.

The only thought about concept I felt worked here was choosing BFFs even before entering the house. It not only resolved the problem of sharing a bed but also helped in building an equation among contestants to do household work.

As the show is famous for its controversies, it had its first one yesterday itself as model Azmi and Paras got into an argument over Mahira Sharma. Typical?

Overall, I would have preferred a 2-hour-long sleep than watching this over-hyped and the most-awaited Bigg Boss 13 premiere night. Oh, before you go beat this- Salman Khan mistakenly called Koena Mitra, Katrina Kaif. Ya, that happened too.
