Narcotics Control Bureau’s latest move has shocked one and all. On Saturday, the anti-narcotics agency raided comedian Bharti Singh’s residence. Later the comedian arrived with husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa at the NCB office where both allegedly confessed to have consumed Ganja. NCB recovered 86.5 gm of the banned substance from their Andheri House. Bharti and Haarsh were later sent to 14 days of judicial custody. Now in the latest development hearing of Bharti and Haarsh’s bail plea is likely to be delayed.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, a Mumbai court is reportedly likely to defer their bail plea hearing. A day after the TV couple was sent to judicial custody till Dec 4, the court was supposed to hear their bail plea, today, on Monday. The report further states, the Anti-Narcotics agency will also file replies on Bharti and Haarsh’s bail plea. Special public prosecutor Atul Sarpande told ANI, “As I am busy with other cases today, we will request for some other date of argument.”
Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiya have been sent to judicial custody under sections 20(b)(ii)(A) (involves small quantity of drugs) and 8(c) (possession of drugs) and 27 (consumption of drugs) of the NDPS Act.
