Television actress Shubhangi Atre has been raking in love from all the corners for her portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi in the popular serial Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain. Having replaced Shilpa Shinde in 2016, the audience fell in love with her performance. The actress enjoys a huge fan following on social media due to her down-to-earth personality. In a recent interview, Atre opened up about her diet plan and the importance of maintaining a health body. She revealed how intermittent fasting and small meals along with good mental health has helped her maintain her fit physique.

In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Shubhangi shared that being fit isn’t only about the body but also about having a healthy state of mind. She explained how if she doesn’t feel mentally well, it is hard for her to look good on the outside. Over the years, she has learned to focus on inner peace and happiness more than just outward beauty. She added, “So, I make sure to eat right at the right times and incorporate yoga and stretching into my routine. When I feel good inside, it reflects on how I look outside. Shedding light on her diet and her well-toned body, the 42-year-old actress explained that she opted for intermittent fasting. Being a vegetarian, she often turns to her sister who is a professional dietician. She shared how she always eats small portions of food rather than stuffing herself. Despite having cheat days, her daily routine includes drinking detox water, eating fruits and nuts for breakfast. She added. “I go for one chapati with green vegetables for lunch. For my protein intake, I include a bowl of lentils or kidney beans. In the summers, I have buttermilk. In the evening, I snack on fruits and black coffee, and for dinner, I keep it very light.”

Shedding light on the exercise plan, she revealed that she often does yoga, meditation, traveling, and listening to music to help keep her health in place. She went on to share, “When you're disciplined and manage your time well, you know what your body needs. So, it becomes quite easy. While I can't work out every day, I manage to do it two or three times a week, but I make sure to do stretching and Yoga every single day.”

For the unversed, Shubhangi Atre began her journey as an actress with Kasauti Zindagi Kay. She went on to do a few more shows before bagging Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain in 2016. She has been leaving the audience in splits with her comic timing in the television serial.
