A source close to the show revealed to SpotboyE.com, “We have strict instructions to not allow any publication on the set. Also, the actors have been asked to keep mum on the topic".
It all began with an episode that was broadcast on April 5. It saw Manmohan Tiwari (Rohitashv Gaur) and his wife Angoori bhabhi (Shubhangi Atre) engaging in a conversation that indirectly promoted BJP agendas. The Maharashtra Congress lodged a complaint of model code of conduct violation with the Election Commission, as reported by a tabloid.
Hence, the EC issued a show cause notice to the makers demanding an explanation and even asked them to take off portions that had content propagating political parties.
Soon, the channel issued an official statement that said, “As a responsible national television network, ZEE has always created content basis its stringent content guidelines. The mention of certain government schemes and initiatives in some of the episodes of the television shows was a creative call taken purely in the interest of the public.”
Now, to avoid further controversy, the team has decided to keep the media houses away. Meanwhile, when this incident happened, we had contacted Saumya Tandon who plays Gori Mem on the show. The actress who is currently on a maternity leave had replied, “I haven’t resumed work yet and that’s why the channel will be a better entity to answer this question.”
