Colors’ show Bawara Dil, which features Aditya Redij and Kinjal Dhamecha in the lead roles, will reportedly go off air in six months. Yes, you read that right! The daily soap, which aired in February this year, is a Hindi remake of the popular Marathi show, Jeev Zala Yeda Pisa. Owing to the show’s low TRP, the channel has now decided to pull the plug on it. According to a report in Etimes, the last episode might air on August 20.
Earlier, a source from the unit has informed the web portal, “After the shoot of the show was disrupted in Goa, the unit was moved to Valsad (Gujarat). However, the shoot again got disrupted owing to confusion over location and accommodation. This affected the telecast of the show and new episodes couldn’t be aired on three days. It has prompted the channel to bring in a new producer. Kayani Pathare and Nikhil Sheth, the original producer, will continue to lend creative support.”
Bawara Dil, which was initially named Gusthakhiyaan, premiered on 22 February 2021.
There is also a buzz that Pinjara Khubsurti Ka starring Saahil Uppal and Riya Sharma also might be axed next month. The show will reportedly be replaced by Balika Vadhu 2. TOI quoted an insider as saying, “The show is winding up, as it couldn't generate the ratings required to sustain. Besides, we feel that we have exhausted the story and don't wish to drag it unnecessarily.”
