Producer Ekta Kapoor had to bear the brunt of the descendant of leader Ahilyabai Holkar for the recent web series, Virgin Bhasskar 2. A scene in this web series where it is shown that a sex racket takes place in a hostel named after Ahilyabai Holkar, one of the leaders of the Maratha Empire. Now this has hurt the sentiments of Holkar's descendants and hence a group of 40-50 people have pelted stones at Ekta's residence in Mumbai, resulting in the damage of her property. Bombay Times also shared a picture of the aftermath of this unpleasant incident at the producer’s residence.
This angry mob pelting stones at her residence broke a few windows. As reported in Bombay Times, Bhushansingh Raje Holkar demanded the scene to be removed from the web series and also demanded an apology letter from the production house. It was just last evening when the producer came across this controversy and she had apologized for hurting their sentiments. She also mentioned in her apology for removing the scenes as soon as it came to her notice and conveyed of not disrespecting anyone or the Maratha leader in any sense.
Also, she mentioned, it was only the first name Ahilyabai used in the particular scenes of the web series, further mentioning though she is not involved in any aspect of this particular web series, she would like to apologize.
