Days after Laado 2’s lead
actress, Avika Gor, opened up about how unhappy she was with her character
on the show,
Meghna Malik, who essayed the role of Ammaji, has spoken about the failure of
the show.
In a long post on Twitter,
she wrote, "Past few months I have been travelling, meeting friends
and family, juggling between film shoot, dubbing, pottery classes and yoga. A
couple of days back, started receiving calls informing me that Laado is being
pulled off air and what is my response. Well, the calls reminded me off my
brief stint at the project around which I had very successfully acquired
selective amnesia.
Though I signed up to play
Ammaji of laado, I never felt I was shooting for the brand or playing the part
either. Oh! no, no I did feel like her, ONE DAY, while shooting for a very
impressive promo.
To create a brand you need passion and insane conviction. The failure of the
BRAND LAADO is like sinking of TITANIC. Personally, it's very disheartening for
me that Laado met with such a fate. It was about power of a woman called
Ammaji, her authority, her action, her strength to stand tall against all odds.
Unfortunate that the writers could not entertain and read the pulse of the
audience nor of the characters (sic).”

You may recall,
SpotboyE.com told you exclusively that Meghna quit the show as she was
unhappy with the current track and the way her character was unfolding.
Colors Laado 2 is all set
to bid adieu on May 25. The sequel of eponymous show was much-awaited,
however, it failed to get the desired TRPs.
