After the death of renowned television actress Tunisha Sharma and the arrest of her co-star and ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan, it was being heavily rumoured that their ongoing serial, Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul, will be going off-air soon. The speculations have been doing the round that owing their absence, the makers have decided to abruptly end the show. It is now being reported that the show will continue with completely new cast members.
Yes, you read that right! According to a report by ETimes, the makers are taking extreme measures to keep things afloat. It is being said that the channel has started searching for Sheezan’s replacement, however they won’t be replacing Tunisha’s character, Shehzaadi Meriam. The makers are planning to add a new character altogether, which will bring a new arch to the entire narrative of the show. Writers are currently working very hard to accommodate all the changes. Quoted by the entertainment portal, a cast member, who did not wish to be named, said, “It is not easy to shoot post the tragedy, but life has to go on, and we are glad that the production house and channel have decided to continue with the show.” ALSO READ: SHOCKING! For the unversed, the 20-year-old television actress was found hanging in the bathroom of her ex-boyfriend and co-star’s make-up room on the sets of her serial ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul’. Talking about ex-boyfriend Sheezan, he has been arrested under section 306 of IPC for abetment of suicide. Recently, Tunisha’s friend had made shocking claims that the late actress was facing financial issues, a day after Sheezan’s lawyer alleged that her mother Vanita Sharma and uncle Sanjeev Kaushal were the one who handled her finances.
