The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating the alleged drug nexus in Bollywood, following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. In the ongoing drug probe, apart from a few names from the industry who have been arrested or interrogated, the names of many TV celebrities have also come under the NCB scanner. It was recently reported that comedian Bharti Singh was arrested by the NCB. Later, her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa was also summoned for questioning. According to the latest reports, after comedian Bharti Singh, her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa is also arrested by the NCB in the ongoing drug probe, after hours of intensive questioning.
As per NDTV reports, Haarsh Limbachiyaa was arrested by the agency officials after 15 hours of questioning. He was taken into custody on Sunday morning by the NCB officials over allegations of possession and use of marijuana. Haarsh’s arrest comes after his comedian wife, Bharti Singh’s arrest on Saturday. On November 21, Bharti Singh and Haarsh’s residence in Mumbai was searched by the NCB.
ANI had reported that Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh accepted the consumption of drugs. As per the reports, officials revealed that 86.5grams of cannabis was found in Bharti and Haarsh’s Andheri apartment. Thecouple was then taken to the NCB office in Mumbai for questioning. Bharti Singh was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1986. Reportedly, Bharti’s name emerged when a drug peddler was questioned.
Meanwhile, just recently, the NCB searched Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal’s home. Later, Arjun’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades were questioned by the NCB. The actor was also summoned for questioning. Apart from that, a Bollywood producer was also questioned by the NCB, while his wife Shabana Saeed was taken into custody. Other B-Town celebrities like Sara Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, and others were also questioned by the NCB.
