In a shocking turn of events, drug peddler Anuj Keswani named TV actors Abigail Pandey and Sanam Johar in the drug probe. The actor duo arrived at the NCB office, yesterday, for questioning. After their exit, Abigail and Sanam said they were not allowed to speak to the media and spill the beans on their interrogation. In the recent development, another drug-peddler, Karamjeet has named almost 20 people from the television fraternity. A ToI report suggested Karamjeet, who was named by Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik.
TV actor Sharad Malhotra, who’s currently seen in Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural show Naagin 5, said consuming drugs is one's personal choice but if he ever finds someone consuming drugs or alcohol on the sets of his show, he will put his foot down. Speaking to IANS, Sharad Malhotra said, “They say one bad apple spoils the barrel, and I understand that. But it's a massive industry that is flourishing, and it has been doing great all these years. I am really proud to be a part of the industry. Whatever people want to do in their personal lives is their choice. But if you are doing drugs or consuming alcohol on the set, I will put my foot down because that's the place we work. Honestly, all these years I have not seen anyone doing anything like that on the set.”
He further added, “It's very upsetting because I don't think it's right to target just the entertainment sector. You have the corporate sector, the industrial sector. Why just the entertainment sector? Because there is a lot of money, fame and adulation? It's not right for people to target just the entertainment sector.
