11 Ugly Controversies Of Indian Television 2018

The year 2018 was tough for many television celebrities as some of their acts landed up them into big trouble. And now we get you the list of those controversies that really left a bad taste in the mouth. 

Alok Nath Accused Of Rape: Producer Vinta Nanda came up with an open letter in October, wherein she accused Alok Nath having rape her in the 90s. Vinta revealed the shocking incident and thereby joined hands in #MeToo movement on the social media. Later she filed a rape case against him in Oshiwara police station in November following which the senior actor was expelled from CINTAA. 

Sonal Vengurlekar Sexual Harrasment: Sonal Vengurlekar came up with her sexual harassment story in October. The TV actress who has played the lead in shows like Yeh Vaada Raha, Shastri Sisters and Saam Daam Dand Bhed accused Raja Bajaj (Rajesh V Bajaj)- aphotographer by profession and father of famous actress Sheena Bajaj- for sexually harassing her in 2012 under the pretext of helping her to bag roles.

Siddharth Sagar's Disappearance: Comedian Siddharth Sagar who is popularly known as Selfie Mausi went missing until his friends went to the police and raised a hue and cry about the same on social media. SpotboyE.com was the first one to speak with him when he resurfaced.  Later, Siddharth took a press conference and revealed that he was in rehab after his family had mentally harassed him and sent him to a mental asylum. 

Devoleena Bhattacharjee Questioned In A Diamond Merchant's Murder Case: Saath Nibhana Saathiya actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee was called by the cops while they investigated the murder of diamond merchant Rajeswar Kishorlal Udhani. The cops had confirmed with us that the actress' close friend Sachin Pawar was involved in it. The case is still on. 

Papon's Kiss Controversy: The Voice Of India Kids 2018 judge and popular singer Papon landed himself in a mess when during a live Facebook session for his TV show, he kissed a minor girl during the Holi celebrations. Papon who was a mentor on the show was fired by the channel later. This incident caused a rage amongst the parents--- and several Women and Children rights groups spoke against Papon's behaviour. 

Jannat Zubair's Kiss Controversy: SpotboyE.com broke the controversy of Tu Aashiqui actress Jannat Zubair Rahmani. The 16-year-old lead actress was asked to kiss her co-star Ritvik Arora. And when she denied to lock lips, they asked her to leave the show. The actress had a no-kissing clause in her contract and her mother was very angry with the producers and fought with them tooth and nail. The matter got resolved but not before it created a storm on the Internet. 

Armaan Kohli Assaulted Neeru Randhawa: The infamous Armaan Kohli brutally beat up his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa and went absconding. The matter got more controversial when his violent behaviour with his staff also made headlines. 

Aditya Narayan Rammed His Car Into A Rickshaw: Aditya Narayan was detained by the police after his car rammed into an auto in Lokhandwala Complex and injured several people. The driver was hospitalised for a long time and his health was said to be critical. 

Akashdeep Saigal Beats Up Auto Driver: Another TV personality and Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Akashdeep Saigal again courted controversy this year when he allegedly beat up an auto driver. SpotboyE.com exclusively brought the news to you that Akashdeep Saigal popularly known as Sky got into an ugly spat and beat up a 40-year-old rickshaw driver in Khar. An FIR was logged against the actor. 

Siddharth Shukla Road Accident: Dil Se Dil Tak actor Siddharth Shukla also got involved in a major road accident in July, 2018. Rupali Ganguly Got Abused On Road : The Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actor Rupali Ganguly's horrifying incident with two bikers at Andheri became the talk of town. Rupali had a traumatic experience when she reached near Bharat Nagar junction in Versova while she was driving to drop her 4-year old son to school, her car accidentally happened to just touch a bike ahead of her. Neither the two men on the bike toppled nor their bike got a scratch. The car at the signal had happened to go a few centimetres ahead as Rupali had taken off her foot from the brake because her son happened to lunge forward from the backseat and snatch her mobile. The bikers immediately got down. One of them started abusing her and the other smashed her car's left window. Rupali apologised--- but the two were in no mood to listen. The same guy who had smashed the left window now headed to smash the rear windscreen.The actress drove off in the nick of time and filed a FIR against them. (Late) Anil Ganguly's daughter was bleeding in her arms and cheeks as she left the spot.
