Actor Vijay Deverakonda became one of the most sought celebrities in the entertainment industry due to his versatile performances and calm demeanour. Having become a household name due to many blockbuster movies including Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Arjun Reddy, he is often credited for his performances during award shows. Now, as he awaits the release of his upcoming film, he opened up about how he is not a fan of awards, certificates, or trophies.
The Kushi actor went on to state that he even auctioned off his Filmfare Best Actor award so that he could donate the money. Calling it a nice memory, Vijay shared, “We auctioned it and got a good chunk of money that we gave away. I think that’s a nicer memory for me than a piece of stone in my house.” In the same interview, he also spoke about choosing to do films that aren’t “too dark or too niche” as he has a fan base that consists of the youth as well as old people and he needs to entertain all of them.

On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in Kushi, co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. He has Parasuram Petla directorial Family Star alongside Mrunal Thakur. He also has an untitled project with Gowtam Tinnanuri in his pipeline. It is being stated that actress Rashmika Mandanna has replaced Sreeleela in the movie.
