Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most sought-after actresses in South cinema. Besides her power-packed onscreen performances, she is known to make some candid confessions. In a new interview, the Bahubali actress recalled the time when people questioned her financial condition and looked down on her. She revealed when she was in school people looked down on her when they learned about her desire to become an actress. Bhatia also mentioned that she faced a lot of societal pressures at the beginning of her career.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Tamannaah was quoted saying, “A lot of people looked down upon me when I was in school that I am wanting to become an actor. People question your financial condition and they question 'what are the parents thinking?' So there are so many societal pressures that come and at least when I started off, these were actually there. Adding to this, the actress explained that nobody really understood that a person can just have this burning desire to achieve something in your life. Especially with women, we are always put into a definition that there's a certain path that everyone expects you to follow. Tamannaah asserted that she was fortunate that her parents never put her into that shell.

The Babli Bouncer went on to state that as a kid she used to look up to brilliant women like Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, and Karisma Kapoor as these were her idols when she started. Meanwhile, Tamannaah will next be seen in the upcoming film ‘Bhola Shankar’ that stars Chiranjeevi in the titular character and Keerthy Suresh. Directed by Meher Ramesh, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release in May 2023.
