With the global success of his Baahubali franchise and RRR, SS Rajamouli has become one of the most sought-after filmmakers in the Indian entertainment industry. His movies have received accolades worldwide, and speculations about his collaborations with Hollywood directors and producers are doing the rounds on the internet. One name that is being rumoured is Avengers’ producer Kevin Feige.
The filmmaker is recently busy promoting his movie RRR in the UK, ahead of the BAFTA nominations. During one of the interviews he opened up about the rumours of him working with Hollywood, especially Marvel. Talking to Total Film, Rajamouli shared that, currrently, he is committed to doing a film with Mahesh Babu, but if the opportunity arises, he would love to learn Hollywood’s style of working. The 49-year-old director, as quoted by Koimoi, said, "There are a lot enquiries from Hollywood, but at present, I’m committed to doing a movie with Mahesh Babu, he’s a big Telugu star. I am committed to doing a film with him. But I would definitely like to learn so much from Hollywood, their style of working, their methodology. In an earlier interview, Rajamouli expressed his love for movies like Braveheart and Ben-Hur. He had also shared that he would love to get his hands on the Prince of Persia film adaptation. Well, even if the collaboration is yet to be worked out, we are pretty sure fans can’t wait for Magnum Opus filmmakers to join hands for a marvellous movie!
For the unversed, SS Rajamouli’s RRR was released in March 2022. The movie starred Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles. It grossed a whopping 1200 crore at the global box office.
