Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is one of the most sought-after actors in the south. After suffering from multiple setbacks this year in his personal life, the actor is all set to start shooting for his upcoming projects. One of the movies that the audience is eagerly waiting for is his first collaboration with filmmaker SS Rajamouli.
Slated to go on the floors in 2023, the untitled movie is said to be based on real-life events and will be much larger and grandeur than the Baahubali franchise and RRR. While a lot is being discussed about the film, what caught our attention were the recent reports stating that the actor is planning to choose a profit-sharing model. For the unversed, the profit-sharing model is an agreement between the lead actor and producers which states that the former will receive a share of the net profit the movie makes after money spent while making the film is completely recovered. According to Bollywood Life, Mahesh has allegedly put forth his proposal in front of the ace director and the production. If reports by Gulte.com are to be believed, a Hollywood-based production house is interested in joining hands with Rajamouli for the movie. They have a huge presence in India through their OTT platforms and VFX setups. It is also mentioned that the director plans to partner up with them as a producer. He is interested in doing business on a profit-sharing basis. Bollywood Life mentions in their report that Mahesh Babu has been cutting down on his remuneration and opting for a profit-sharing model for his movies. Now that the Hollywood-based production house is in the picture, it will be interesting to see how the deal works out for everyone.
