Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu si currently awaiting the release of her upcoming show Citdel: Honey Bunny co-starring Varun Dhawan. Over the years, she has gained a lot of recognition for her versatile performances and down-to-earth personality. On Thursday, she left her fans drooling as she attended a glamorous fashion event in the city. Donned in a gorgeous black gown, she looked ethereal as she walked down the red carpet. Soon she took to her official social media handle to reveal that she revamped her wedding gown from 2017 to create the look.
For the unversed, Samantha tied the knot with Naga Chaitanya in October 2017. She had worn the beautiful white gown, which was designed by her close friend Kresha Bajaj, during her Christian wedding with her ex-husband. On Thursday, she took to Instagram to reveal that she cut and revamped her wedding gown into a beautiful black strapless cocktail outfit for a recent award show where she was named ‘Leaders of Change (female)’. Shedding light on the same, Prabhu highlighted the importance of sustainability and explained that repurposing her old clothes was one of the ways she is trying to save the environment.

Talking about her personal life, the 36-year-old actress separated from her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya in 2021. The couple tied the knot in 2017, leaving their fans excited. While the reason for their separation is yet to be known, there have been a lot of speculations surrounding it. From the actor’s family being unhappy about Samantha’s choice of roles and item songs to his rumoured affair with Shobita Dhulipala, the divorced couple has maintained a silence on their relationship.
On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be next seen in the Indian adaptation of Citadel. Co-starring Varun Dhawan, the web series will mark her second collaboration with filmmakers Raj & DK after Family Man 2. She also announced the launch of her production house Tralala Moving Pictures in collaboration with the Hyderabad-based entertainment company Mandoa Media Works.
