Following Baahubali series, SS Rajamouli’s yet to be released flick, RRR has already created a new record. Starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt in the pivotal role, the film has already done a business of whopping Rs. 900 crore before its release as per reports in Pinkvilla. This is almost double of Baahubali’s pre-release business which was Rs. 500 crore. This Rs. 900 crore is a summation of theatrical, digital, music and satellite rights. Beginning with theatrical rights, Andhra Pradesh has bought the rights for Rs. 165 crore, followed by North India with Rs. 140 crore, on the third spot is the Nizam territory with Rs. 75 crore, on fourth spot is Tamil Nadu with Rs. 48 crore, on fifth spot is Karnataka Rs. 45 crore and Kerala on the sixth spot with Rs. 15 crore. Meanwhile, the overseas rights are sold for Rs. 70 crore. Thus, getting the total of theatrical rights to Rs. 570 Crore.
Followed by digital rights in all languages being sold for Rs. 170 crore, satellite rights sold for Rs. 130 crore and lastly music rights for Rs. 20 crore. This totals upto Rs. 890 crore.
