Noted Telugu choreographer Rakesh Master passed away on June 18 at a hospital in Hyderabad. He was 53. As per the statement released by the hospital, Rakesh’s condition worsened rapidly and he breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad. Last week, the ace dancer Rakesh fell ill while returning to Hyderabad after an outdoor shoot in Visakhapatnam. Rakesh Master suffered multi-organ failure and was diabetic.

Doctors treating him also revealed that Master was diagnosed with severe metabolic acidosis. It is being reported that Rakesh Master was shooting for a project in Visakhapatnam and recently returned to Hyderabad after wrapping up the shoot. After he returned home, he fell ill and his condition deteriorated in just a few days. His sudden demise has sent shockwaves across the entire Telugu film industry with fans and celebrities mourning the sad demise of the choreographer on social media. #RakeshMaster has been trending on Twitter with netizens paying their tributes. One fan tweeted, “Rest in peace #RakeshMaster You'll be missed.” Another wrote, “We Miss you sir #RakeshMaster om Shanti.”






For the unversed, Rakesh Master has been a part of the Telugu industry for over a decade now and has delivered several hit songs. The late choreographer, who started his career with dance reality shows Aata and Dhee, had worked in as many as 1,500 movies. He had collaborated with popular Telugu actors including Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Ram Pothineni, and Prabhas. Some of his most popular songs include Vendi Thearku Maa Vandalu, Chandamama Kanna Challanivade, Ecstacy Privacy, and Seetharama Raju among others.

Over the past few years, Rakesh was away from the film industry.
