Rana Daggubati is one of the most talked about celebrities right now. This year, Rana completes eleven years as an actor. On Friday, his new Telugu film 'Aranya' released and it received a mixed response from the audience. The multilingual film is titled Kaadan in its Tamil version, and also has a Hindi version titled Haathi Mere Saathi, which got postponed owing to increase in the Covid-19 cases. Up next, Rana will be seen in Virata Parvam. The teaser was released a few days ago and it received a positive response. The movie also stars Sai Pallavi.
In a recent interview with IANS, Rana opened up about his journey and also revealed that he never went to college. The Baahubali star said, "When I came into the industry, there was nothing, no alternatives. We only had mainstream cinema and I had very little to choose from. I am not someone who did regular love stories. I din't go to college so I never connected with college stories either. I was not somebody who was a big fan of regular, commercial cinema that were set on patterns of revenge, action and pieces like that."
Adding to that, Rana mentioned that he never considered language as a barrier while signing projects. "I have never kept language as a barrier. All of it eventually came and fell into where I am today, in my comfort zone," he said.
Rana is not just a popular name down South, but he has also successfully carved a niche for himself in Bollywood. He made his acting debut with the Telugu film Leader and later went on to star in many films. Rana made his Bollywood debut with Dum Maaro Dum alongside Bipasha Basu, where he received positive reviews for her performance. Some of his other Bollywood film includes Baby, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Department, Housefull 4, and Welcome to New York.
