Allu Arjun is currently riding high on the success of his latest release ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which has been smashing records at Box office. Directed by Sukumar, the film, which was released a week ahead of Christmas, is still running successfully at the theatres. The Hindi version of Pushpa has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark and it seems to be unstoppable. Allu has left no stone unturned in order to get into the skin of his role Pushparaj and to adopt his signature walk and body language, which has become an instant hit.
While speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, Arjun opened up about prepping up for the actioner and revealed that he has spent two years getting the required shape for his character. The south superstar also revealed that he is bearing a sprained shoulder and that it still hurts. Allu Arjun was quoted saying, “The director told me that he wants a unique body language (for the character), which should be followed by masses. I had three-four ideas, but this shoulder-lifting idea looked perfect. Keeping one shoulder up seemed a little different and there's a bit of heroism to it. It's not three hours, (but) it's two years of hard work. My shoulder still hurts.”
Interestingly, Pushparaj's signature walk, his posture of a tilted shoulder, and swirling his hand under his beard became an instant hit on social media and has become quite a trend. On a related note, Pushpa: The Rise also stars Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The film, which is based on the lives of red sandalwood smugglers, was released in five languages on December 17.
