Talk of the most iconic movies of Tollywood, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning surely tops the list. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj and Nassar among others, the film was the highest-grossing movie of that year. The magnum opus broke many box office records and became the first Telugu film to win the National award. Today, Rajamouli’s blockbuster film completes six years of its release. To celebrate the milestone, Prabhas raises a toast to the entire team.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Prabhas shared a still from the movie alongside a heartfelt note. He wrote, “#6YearsOfBaahubali: Here's to the team that created waves of cinematic magic all across the country and the world.” He also tagged director Rajamouli, producer Shobu Yarlagadda and the rest of the cast and crew.

Tamannaah also reshared Prabhas’s post on her gram stories and wrote, “memories,” followed by heart emojis. Notably, #6YearsOfUnrivalledBaahubali has been trending on Twitter with netizens celebrating the film’s anniversary.

Baahubali: The Beginning is jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner, Arka Media Works. The film was made on a mammoth budget of Rs 180 crore. Back then, it was the most expensive Indian film ever made. Following the stupendous success of the movie, the makers made its second installment Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which also went on to broke many records. 
Baahubali: The Beginning had won the National Film Award for Best Special Effects and Best Feature Film. It became the first Indian film to be nominated for Saturn Awards, receiving five nominations at the 42nd ceremony, including Best Fantasy Film and Best Supporting Actress.
