Actor Sai Dharam Tej often takes to his official social media handle to share his opinions on severe issues. He spreads awareness about the ongoing problems and always asks the respective government to take serious actions against offenders. He recently took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) and reported child abuse online. Resharing a video of a Telugu YouTuber making an insensitive remark about children, he tagged the Chief Ministers of both the Telugu states and demanded action against the YouTuber.
He expressed his horror at the words spouted by the YouTuber and stated that child safety is the need of the hour. He wrote, “This is beyond gruesome, disgusting and scary. Monsters like these go unnoticed on the very much utilised social platform doing child abuse in the disguise of so-called Fun & Dank. Child Safety is the need of the hour.” He tagged the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to “take necessary action to curb horrific acts like this in the future.”
Reacting to his tweet, Telangana’s Deputy SM, Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu reverted to him by stating that child safety is indeed their top priority. He added the government will be taking necessary precautions to stop child exploitation on social media platforms. He wrote, “Thank you for raising this critical issue @IamSaiDharamTej garu, Child safety is indeed a top priority. we will ensure that our government takes necessary steps to prevent child abuse and exploitation on social media platforms. Let's work together to create a safer online environment for our children. #ChildSafetyMatters #TelanganaCares.”
For those who don’t know, the incident took place during a live chat session featuring the Telugu YouTuber and his friends. He is seen passing inappropriate comments about a father and his daughter.
