Actor Vijay visited late actor-comedian Vivek's house in Chennai to pay condolences to his family. The actor’s PR manager confirmed the news on his behalf through his official page on social media and stated that Vijay couldn't go to pay a visit at the late comedian’s funeral due to protocols set for the Covid-19 pandemic. Vivek passed away on April 17, 2021, due to cardiac arrest and the funeral was held soon after. Superstar Vijay who has worked in several movies with Vivek met the family and expressed his grief. Actors Suriya, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, had also visited Vivek's home for the final rites last week.
Two days before his death the 59-year-old actor was seen promoting the importance of vaccination to fight the coronavirus. "I want to show people that there is no danger in getting vaccinated, it will protect us," said the actor in a statement to the media soon after being vaccinated at a government hospital.
The late actor and comedian Vivek was known for his excellent work in the Tamil industry. His splendid performances throughout his career won him Padma Shri for his contribution to Arts. After the news of his demise celebrities like AR Rahman, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Mohan Raja, and Gautham Karthik and fans from all over the paid their tribute.
