National award winner and popular Tamil director SP Jananathan took his last breath as was suffering a massive cardiac arrest on Sunday. SP Jananathan was suffering critically and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Chennai. The late director’s debutant movie was “Iyarkai” released in 2003 and he won the National Film Award for Best Tamil Feature Film.

Vijay Sethupathi, Karthika Nair, Arya, Karthik Sivakumar paid their last tribute to the national award winner SP Jananathan. Vijay Sethupathi is an avid at social media and he recently updated his Instagram handle by paying last tribute to the legendary director of the Tamil Cinema Industry. He simply wrote “Love u sir” and that explained a thousand emotions towards SP Jananathan.

Arya took it to his Twitter to express deep condolences, "Can’t believe he is no more.. Really saddened by the news.. One of the nicest persons I have ever met in my life. Will miss you deeply sir .. love you always #RIP"

SP Jananathan’s last project is the Tamil movie “Laabam” which slated to release.  Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan are in the lead roles with other prominent star-cast.
