Over the years, Thalapathy Vijay has garnered a huge fan base due to his down-to-earth personality and versatile performances. He turned a year older on Saturday and fans were over the moon as they celebrated his special day. Social media was filled with well wishes from his admirers and many events were organised by his fans. However, the day of celebration turned tragic for a young fan as he got burned while performing a fire stunt during the actor’s 50th birthday celebration held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
A video of the same is going viral on social media leaving netizens concerned. At one of the many events organised in ECR Chennai, a young boy was injured by performing a stunt involving fire. His hand was lit by fire as he performed the stunt using kerosene. According to a report by the Free Press Journal, he was immediately rushed to the hospital as he sustained injuries. Netizens have expressed their concerns about the young boy on social media. Many even went on to call out the organisers for allowing the young buy to perform such a dangerous stunt.
One wrote, “I hope the young boy is fine.” Another wrote, “This is not a way to celebrate someone's birthday.” Other one wrote, “Horrible...this is too risky.” It is to be noted, that further update on the boy’s health is awaited.
On the work front, Thalapathy Vijay will be next seen in The GOAT- Greatest of All Time. Recently, the makers of the film released a small glimpse of the film. Titled ‘The GOAT Bday Shots,’ the 50-second clip begins with a chase sequence where a group of people are seen chasing a duo on the bike. Helmed by Venkat Prabhu, the film is all set to release on September 5, 2024.
