Ever since they announced the birth of their child, there have been allegations on the couple that they have taken illegal measures to conceive their sons.
One of the reasons for the allegations was that a couple can only opt for surrogacy after being married for more than 5 years, as issued by the Tamil Nadu government. As per the allegations, Nayanthara and Vignesh got married in June this year. A probe was initiated against the couple.
Now, various reports suggest that the couple has followed the all legal procedures for the surrogacy. According to a news portal an affidavit was released by Nayanthara and Shivan states that they have been married for six years.
The law also states that the surrogate must be close relative of the couple, should be married, should be between the age of 25-35 and should do surrogacy only once in her life. Talking about the surrogate, it is reported that the woman who gave birth to the twins is Nayanthara's cousin who resides in Dubai.
The couple has insisted that they have not broken any laws of surrogacy and has shared all required proof to the officials to prove the same. Even the twins were identified as far as the affidavit goes.
Now that the controversy has been put to rest by the couple, they can finally enjoy one of the best phases of their life.
