Vignesh Shivan’s directorial venture, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal is currently in the filming stage. Starring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha Akkineni, the film wrapped up its first shooting schedule in Chennai. Samantha taking to her Instagram account, shared working with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara being amazing. She also revealed shooting on the sets for the movie, being a fun riot. She also shared that she always wanted to work with Nayantara and Vijay Sethupathi calling the actress fierce and the actor mighty.
In her Instagram post, she wrote, "I’ve always wanted to work with the fierce #Nayantara and the mighty @actorvijaysethupathi.. so I can’t tell you how much of a ball I am having working with the both of them together #kaathuvaakularendukaadhal .. Midway through the shoot and I can safely say this one is going to be a riot..@wikkiofficial you rocking this party." Along with the long note praising her co-stars, she also shared the first look poster of the movie. Director also responded to these praises of the actress in his Instagram post.

The actress marked her digital debut with the second season of The Family Man 2, starring Manoj Bajpayee in the main lead.
