In the video that is going viral, director Parthiban is seen sitting beside AR Rahman on the stage. The director is then seen getting frustrated, losing his cool as Robo Shankar asks him to pass the mic. Parthiban then gets up from his seat, walks towards the audience and angrily throws the mic at him and the audience. "You should have asked this before," he said in response to Shankar. This left everyone shocked.
Later, the director realized his mistake and apologised for his behavior and said that he was under a lot of pressure after sleepless nights. "It was an indecent thing. He had said, "I was enthralled by his enthusiasm for film and his willingness to attempt new things, new words, and new ideas for the score. So, when he mentioned it would be filmed in one take, I imagined it would be something special. He also took me through the entire rehearsal. When I first reviewed the movie, I was blown away by his ability to accomplish so much. And there was a huge difference between what I saw at the rehearsal and what he shot. He's a fascinating artist to collaborate with."
