National Award-winning Actress Anjali Patil Recalls Meeting Superstar Rajinikanth For The First Time;' It's Like a Festival -EXCLUSIVE

Anjali Patil who is well known for her films like Prakash Jha's Chakravyuh and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mere Pyare Prime Minister recalls her first-ever meeting with Thalaiva Rajinikanth on the sets of her south film Kaala.

Actress Anjali Patil has made her mark in regional cinema across the country. In 2018 the actress made her Tamil debut opposite superstar Rajnikanth in Kaala. In the film, Patil played the role of Puyal Charumathi Gaekwad, a character born and brought up in Dharavi, Mumbai. Speaking exclusively with SpotoboyE Anjali recalls her first meeting with the superstar, she says, "I remember my first meeting with Rajinikanth. It's was like a festival. You feel his energy and his aura in the atmosphere and everybody around him are all charged and glowing. That's something absolutely beautiful and I was lucky that I got to experience it first hand, he is phenomenal."

When asked if she was ever intimidated by the Thalaiva she asserts, "The biggest part of his entire being is that he is very expansive, very open and pores, and, absolutely humble. He makes sure that you kind of feel welcome and safe around him which is beautiful." "He actually, spoke with me in Marathi when I first met him, he said, 'Me pun Marathi aa hai', and I was like yes of course I know", she laughs.

The actress previously has earned excellent reviews for her work in Delhi in a Day, Chakravyuh, Newton, and Sri Lankan film With You Without You. In 2013, she starred in the Telugu film Na Bangaaru Talli for which she received the National Film Award – Special Mention, and the state Nandi Award for Best Actress. Anjali is currently gearing up for her next release a Marathi film titled Dithee which will soon release on Sony Liv.
