The producers of the film, Master currently made a new announcement and have left theatre owners disappointed. The producer has planned to release the movie on OTT  after 16 days of its official release. The movie is still doing really good in the theaters but since not everyone can watch the movie in theaters the makers have resorted to a hybrid release of OTT with Theatre for all types of audiences.

As per the sources, theater owners have demanded an additional 10% share in the total collection done from the release of the film since the OTT release will lead to people walking away from big screens.

Although fans who've been waiting for the release of the film but couldn't watch it because of the pandemic are excited, movie theatre managements are disappointed. Master is an action genre movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by XB Film Creators featuring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.
