The Tamil Nadu states prestigious award, Kalaimamani Award is given to selected artists every year. This year also some of the talented artists were presented this award by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami.

The function of the Kalaimamani Award was held at the secretariat. The award was given to a total of 128 artists from 2019 to 2020. The award included a five sovereign gold medal, ₹1 lakh in cash, and a citation each. The artists who had already received the award were given ₹50,000. The Tamil industry's notable actors Sivakarthikeyan, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Shanthi Williams were also presented this award by the chief minister.

The Kalaimamani award was attended by Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, Tamil Development and Official Language Minister K. Pandiarajan, Information Minister Kadambur Raju, and Chief Secretary Rajiv Ranjan.
