Popular supporting actor Maran, who has shown his acting skills in several films like Ghilli and Kuruvi, is no more. The actor died of Covid-19 in Chengalpet Government hospital. He was admitted to the hospital two days ago for treatment but due to severe complications, he succumbed to the disease. He was 48 when he breathed his last. Maran's death comes as a huge shock to everyone in the Tamil film industry.
Maran lived in Naththam in the Chengalpet district where his mortal remains will be cremated by the health corporation officials. This untimely fateful demise of yet another popular artist has sent the entertainment industry in shock. Maran was known for playing supporting roles in many great Tamil films. He acted with superstar Vijay in Kuruvi and Ghilli. Boss Engira Baskaran, Thalainagaram, Dishoom, Vettaikaran, and KGF: Chapter 1, etc were some more of his best works. Apart from doing comedy roles, he also acted as a villain in several films.
The entertainment industry is taking the worst hit of the pandemic after the frontline workers and health care officials. The increasing number of cases, deaths reports, and working conditions of cast and crew members are alarming.
