On Thursday, the first look poster of Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu's Annabelle Sethupathi was unveiled. Sharing the poster, Vijay Sethupathi also announced that the movie will be streaming directly on Disney+Hotstar. The poster shows, Vijay Sethupathi in a cream sherwani looking royal, while Taapsee is seen in a casual gown and a headband. The film is reportedly a horror-comedy and is directed by Deepak Sundarjan. Sharing the poster, Vijay Sethupathi wrote: “Here it is #AnnabelleSethupathi First look. Streaming from Sep 17th on @DisneyplusHSVIP.” Annabelle Sethupathi was set to hit theatres; however, it was postponed due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
The shooting of the film was recently wrapped in Jaipur. Actress Taapsee also shared the poster from the movie and announced that the movie will be releasing in three languages including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Taapsee is seen with her back facing the camera in the image. She wrote, "The next in line for 2021. #AnnabelleSethupathi Meeting you officially at 5 pm today. #Tamil #Telugu #Hindi. Taapsee's last Tamil outing was Game Over which released in 2019. Annabelle Sethupathi also stars Yogi Babu and Radikaa Sarathkumar in important roles.
Meanwhile, Taapsee is on a roll with a solid lineup of films. The actress has joined forces with Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya director Swaroop RSJ for the Telugu movie Mishan Impossible. She also recently announced that her production banner Outsider Films will be signing its first production feature film Blurr. The actress also has Loop Lapeta, sports drama Rashmi Rocket and Shabaash Mitthu where she portrays the role of cricketer Mithali Raj in her kitty
On the other hand actor, Vijay Sethupathi is busy with the culinary reality Television show MasterChef Tamil. He has also been roped in to play a pivotal role in filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming web series along with Raashii Khanna and Shahid Kapoor. Apart from this the Super Deluxe actor will be sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faisal in Vikram. He is also making his Bollywood debut with Mumbaikar, which is the remake of the Tamil movie Maanagaram.
