Acclaimed chef and Malayalam film producer MV Naushad, breathed his last at a private hospital in Thiruvalla, Kerala on Friday morning. He was 55. The multi-faced personality was suffering from various health issues and was admitted to the hospital a few days back. He was undergoing treatment for abdominal ailments and was on ventilator support for the last few days.
Two weeks ago, Naushad's wife Sheeba lost her life due to cardiac arrest. The couple is survived by their daughter Nashwa who is only 13 years old. A few weeks back, Naushad’s colleague Noushad Alathur took to social media and gave an update on his health. He said that the producer was in critical condition. Not only just abdominal issues, but Naushad was also suffering from spinal cord injury and heart-related issues.
Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran shared his condolences for the producer and wrote, “Rest in peace. #Noushad”
For the unversed, Noushad was a celebrity chef, famous for widely popular biryani through his hotel. He later became a noted caterer who was mostly offered creating aromatic hot biryani at celebrity weddings. The chef then joined the Malayalam film industry as a producer and delivered films such as, ‘Mammootty's Kazhcha’, ‘Chattambinadu’, ‘Best Actor’, ‘Payyans’, ‘Lion’, and ‘Spanish Masala’. Also, Noushad hosted multiple cookery shows on television.
