Senior actor Mohanlal has made a name for himself in the Malayalam entertainment industry with his versatile performances. He recently returned to Kochi after completing his shooting schedule for L2: Empuraan in Gujarat. He was immediately rushed to the Amrita Institute of Medical Science in Kochi, Kerala after he e complained of breathing difficulties. According to a recent report by India.com, it states that the actor is suspected to have a “viral respiratory infection.” Quoting ANI, the news agency’s, report, Mohanlal’s symptoms include “high-grade fever, breathing difficulties, and generalized myalgia (muscle pain).”
The report goes on to add that the 64-year-old actor’s health is improving. An official statement on the actor’s hospitalisation has been released by the hospital. Quoted by India.com, the statement reads, “This is to certify that Mr Mohanlal, a 64-year-old male (MRD No. 1198168), has been examined. He is experiencing high-grade fever, breathing difficulty, and generalized myalgia. He is suspected to have a viral respiratory infection. He has been advised to take medication, rest for five days, and avoid crowded places.”
On the work front, Mohanlal’s directorial debut Barroz will be released on October 3. For those who don’t know, announced in 2019, the 3D fantasy-drama faced a lot of delays in its release date as it was previously scheduled for March 23. The film is adapted from Jijo Punnoose’s novel Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure.
