Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi has landed in legal trouble. The Maradu Police arrested him on a complaint filed by a journalist. This incident happened last week during the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Chattambi’. As per the reports, he lost his cool while giving an interview and verbally abused the journalist. As per the latest update, Bhasi has banned Kerala Film Producers Association (KFPA) for misbehaving with the journalist.
According to ANI reports Kerala Film Producers Association (KFPA) has imposed a temporary ban on the actor owing to his wrongdoings. ANI took to its Twitter handle to share the news and wrote, “Kerala Film Producers Association (KFPA) decides to temporarily ban Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi from movies over allegations against him for misbehaving with a female anchor during an interview he gave to a Youtube channel.”
The Pranayam actor was arrested by the Maradu Police on 26th September 2022. He was grilled there for an hour. As per the reports, the charges against him are bailable after sureties are presented, and he is likely to walk out of the Maradu Police station. The actor has already apologized and stated that he has not abused anyone, but the way he reacted might have felt insulting. Reportedly, he lost his cool while giving an interview, after probing questions were put before him.
On a professional note, he started his career as Radio Jockey on Red FM 93.5. He made his debut in 2011 with Blessy’s directorial ‘Pranayam’ which also starred Mohanlal and Anupam Kher. He has appeared in nearly 50 films and has become a star. Sreenath’s latest film Chattambi was released on 23rd September 2022. It was helmed by Abhilash S Kumar and featured Chemban Vinod Jose, Grace Antony, and Mythili as lead characters.
