Malayalam actor, director, and screenplay writer Sreenivasan is one of the big names in the South film industry. The actor has won National Award for the best film on social issues for Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala, which was written and directed by him. He has also won Kerala State Awards six times in his filmography. Well, a month ago, on 30th March, Sreenivasan was rushed to a hospital following a cardiac ailment. After undergoing the following medical treatments, the actor has been discharged from the hospital.
The actor, who underwent bypass surgery, got discharged on Tuesday i.e. 19th of April. The hospital authorities at Apollo Adlux Hospital, in a medical bulletin, said, “Film actor Sreenivasan, who was admitted to Apollo Adlux Hospital, Kochi, on March 30, 2022 due to cardiac ailment and underwent bypass surgery is discharged today (April 19) in a stable state with remarkable improvement in his cardiac and general condition”.
Sreenivasan’s wife also thanked the doctors and the whole staff at the hospital for their immediate treatment and care. She said, “Also, the doctors’ team of multiple departments lead by cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Jayashankar did a wonderful job because of which Sreenivasan was able to get better so quick even though his condition when he was brought to the hospital was very bad.”
Sreenivasan has acted in more than 225 films and has written scripts that have won many awards including films like Sandesam, Varavellpu, Vellaanakalude Naadu, and others. He was last seen in 2021 in Jis Joy’s directorial Mohan Kumar Fans. The actor will next be seen in the upcoming film Makal by Sathyan Anthikkad.
