Kaduva is a Malayalam action-thriller where Prithviraj portrays the role of a powerful planter named Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan. Earlier today the actor took to his social media handle and shared a glimpse of his character. The 38-year-old actor looks fierce and grim holding a stick, in this first snap from the film. As soon as the actor posted the picture, his fans bombarded the post with over 2 lakh times likes and comments.
The movie is based on the real-life character of Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan living in Pala town of Kerala. Director Shaji Kailas and Prithviraj Sukumaran will come together for the second time after the 2012 movie Simhasanam. It is also speculated that Vivek Oberoi has been cast to play the villain and Supriya Menon will play the female lead opposite Prithviraj in the film.
A few days ago Prithivraj shared the poster captioning it, “They wanted a fight...He gave them a war!” Rolling from today!.” In the poster, the actor is wearing a white shirt and is smoking a cigar and it also has mountains in the backdrop.
Jinu Abraham has been roped as the writer, Abhinandan Ramanujan will take care of cinematography, Jakes Bejoy will be responsible for music scores and it is produced by Magic Frames Production of Listin Stephen and Supriya Menon. The movie recently was doing the rounds of controversy because of the opposition from the real Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan but later they settled.
On the other hand, Prithviraj will also be seen in the upcoming Malayalam remake of the popular Bollywood movie Andhadhun, Barroz: Guardian of Da Gama's Treasure Theerpu, Cold Case, Jana Gana Mana, and Star.
