Former DGP R Sreelekha IPS has made a rather shocking revelation in the cases rated to actor Dileep. She claimed that there is no valid evidence that proves actor Dileep is in the actress attack case of 2017.

For the unversed, Malayalam actor Dileep allegedly conspired to murder officials investigating the alleged sexual assault of an actor in February 2017. The conspiracy to murder case was registered after audio clips surfaced in which Dileep and others allegedly threatened the investigating officials, as reported by Hindustan Times. 

The former DGP also criticized the investigation officer for lack of solid evidence to prove the charges against the actor and alleged the presence of conspiracy in the case. 

Sreelekha’s latest elaborated on various phases of the case – which was lodged in 2017 when she was the Director-General of Prisons. The retired top cop made her remarks via a video titled 'Dileep innocent in Assault Case?' she posted on her YouTube channel. She also went on to claim that it was a fellow prisoner of Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case, who wrote the letter from the prison. 


'Sasneham Sreelekha' (Sreelekha, with love) on Sunday that was titled 'Dileep innocent in Assault Case?'.

"I'm 100% certain that Dileep is not involved in this case. I don't believe that knowingly or unknowingly he has any role in it," Sreelekha said at the end of her 40-minute video.

In the video, Sreelekha also went on to clarify her claims as she said, “I said this because the public should know that I think the man has suffered the maximum he can." 

Sreelekha also maintained that Dileep was dragged into the case because his enemies were more powerful.
