Vijay Raghavendra’s Wife Spandana Passes Away Due To A Heart Attack In Thailand; Karnataka CM Offers Condolences

Actor Vijay Raghavendra’s wife Spandana Raghavendra left for her heavenly abode on Monday. Her untimely demise left the entire Sandalwood industry in shock. She passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 44. She was on a vacation in Thailand’s capital Bangkok with her cousins and husband when breathed her last. If reports are to be believed, Raghavendra had joined his wife after finishing all his shooting schedules.

According to a report by NDTV, she had gone to sleep on Sunday and did not wake up on Monday morning. Quoting Sri Murali, the media publication added, “We believe it (death) is due to (complications arising from) low blood pressure.” Her passing came as a huge shock to the entertainment industry as well as the fans. 

Karnataka’s CM, Siddaramaiah too took to his official social media handle to condole her death. In Kannada he wrote, “The news of the untimely death of famous Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra's wife Spandana has come as a shock. I pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul. My condolences to the families of Vijaya Raghavendra and BK Shivaram who are saddened by the loss of Spandana.”

For the unversed, apart from being Vijay’s wife, she was the daughter of retired police officer B K Shivaram and Congress MLC B K Hariprasad’s niece. She was last seen in a guest appearance in the movie Apoorva. She had tied the knot with the actor in 2007. The couple were proud parents to their son Shourya. For those who don’t know, Vijay is the cousin of late superstar Puneeth Rajkumar, who also passed away from a heart attack at the age of 46.
