The veteran Kannada actor Satyajit, who is known for his role in movies like “Putnanja”, “Shiva Mecchida Kannappa”, “Chaitrada Premanjali” and “Apthamitra” is passed away today at a hospital in Bengaluru. He was 72 years aged. He had won many accolades for portraying the antagonist in most of his movies.
Actor Satyajith’s real name is Syed Nizamuddin and he was suffering from a serious illness and was being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bowring Hospital, Bengaluru. Unfortunately, the actor did not respond to the treatment properly and lost the battle of life early Sunday morning. As per the reports, the last rites of the actor were to be completed today.
Satyajit is survived by his wife Sophia Begum, daughter Akthar Swaleha, who is a pilot by profession, and son Akash Jith, an actor in the Kannada film industry.
All the members of the Sandalwood fraternity lamented the veteran actor’s death. The famous politician Sumalatha Ambareesh took to his Facebook and wrote - “The departure of senior actor Sathyajith has caused a lot of pain. As an artist, he entertained his fans by acting in more than 650 films, including Mandyada Gandu. I pray that the family gets the strength to bear the pain,"
